Hey! First of all, it would be nice to introduce ourselves! 

We're four crazy students from three different countries.

Nicolas is from Finland, Born in Hameenlinna, raised in Helsinki and now studying in Jyvaskyla, he likes a diverse set of subjects. He is majoring in physics but also studying english and latin on the side. Working as a theater technican (at the moment unemployed due to corona), he loves watching films and reading books. He has a passion for music and has played the guitar for 12 years.

Aleks is orginally from Bulgaria, but she is currently representing the Netherlands.She studies Creative Business at the University of Applied Sciences Utrecht. Apart from that she works as a part-time photographer, as she has a passion for different forms of art. In addition to that, she loves spending time with her classmates in the vibrant city of Utrecht.

Ewelina with Bartek are from Poland. They live in Poznań and study Tourism and Recreation together at Adam Mickiewicz University. Ewelina is involved in the organizational sphere, she likes to have everything planned, and Bartek helps in the implementation process. Bartek's passion is space, and Ewelina's passion is reading books. What do they have in common? A lot! They are a couple and like a team they walk the world with great optimism.

Cyclist's paradise

The city of Utreht is one the most bike-friendly cities in the whole Netherlands. But it wasn't always this way. Back in the 1950s and '60s, the cities of the Netherlands were nearly as auto-friendly as much any other prosperous European country. However in the 1970s, the rising number of children killed in traffic flickered a wave of protests and activism, which brought attention to the streets designed for cars. Rising gas prices and the environmental movement helped bolster national policies to reorient urban centres towards walking, cycling and transit. Nowadays, 98 percent of Utrecht households own at least one bike, according to a movie, created specifically to promote the approach of the city, towards biking.  Biking is practised as a regular sport, since Utrecht offers great scenery and paths, even away from the city.
